Estella "Stell" Perez

Gregory - Estella Perez, known to everybody as “Stell,” breathed her last breath on June 4, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She was born in Sinton, Texas on October 16, 1960 and lived her 61 years of life to the fullest.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, loved going to the Kickapoo Casino, had a serious passion for collecting M&M figurines, but most especially, spoiling her nieces and nephews. Stell recently discovered Amazon shopping and became addicted to it. Stell worked as a Clerk in Nueces County for 25 years, retiring in 2016 so that she could better care for her parents.

Ms. Perez was an incredible daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who told you the truth without sugar coating what she had to tell you. Her intentions always came from a place of love. She was there when you needed her, with “her words of wisdom,” or a hug. She had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved talking to family on the phone, sharing her stories.Stell is preceded in death by her parents: Juan and Eva Perez; and sisters: Gloria and Ana Perez, all from Gregory, Texas.Stell is also preceded in death by her best friend: Donna Syma, from Portland, Texas.She leaves behind to cherish memories, her brother: Oscar (Hilda) Perez from Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Janie (Rey) Cirilo from Portland, Texas, and Suzie (Alfred) Hernandez from Helotes, Texas; nieces and nephews: Melinda (Jimmy) Earnest, Dr. Samantha Hernandez, Stephanie (Tony) Vela, Larry (Alesia) Earnest, Bubba (Pree) Hernandez, John Earnest, Lonnie Cardenas, Taylor Earnest, Dwayne Barrera, Truu Hinojosa, Jaxon Earnest, and Olivia Earnest.Aunt Stell was the ultimate aunt, with a never-ending list of nieces and nephews. Stell is also survived by her dear friend: Sally Cavazos from Gregory, Texas.She also leaves behind family pets: Nobili Vela, Bear Hernandez, Bella Hernandez, and Daisy Earnest.

Visitation will begin Monday, June 13th, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Resthaven Funeral Home, Aransas Pass.  The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 P.M. at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14th, 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory. Interment will follow in Gregory Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be Oscar Perez, Bubba Hernandez, Tony Vela, Larry Earnest, John Earnest, Jimmy Earnest.

Honorary Pall bearers will be Jaxon Earnest and Dwayne Barrera.
