Taft – Ezekial “Zeke” Marroquin, Jr. 44, passed away September 20, 2021. He was born on December 10, 1976 in Taft, Texas to Ezekial, Sr. and Elva Marroquin. He was employed by IMI logistics and was currently working in Goodyear, Arizona as a Millwright. With his job he traveled to many different cities and along the way made many friends. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Taft. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, nephew and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Zeke could make a friend in a few seconds. He was very sociable. His smile and dimples were his trademark. He would always be the first to break the ice and start a conversation. He had a big heart and was always there to help anyone in need.
Zeke loved spending time with his family. Family was important to him. He loved fishing, barbequing and riding around with his son, Zekie listening to his favorite music.
Zeke is survived by his children, Zeke, III. And Larissa; his parents, Ezekial, Sr. and Elva Marroquin; his sister, Elisa Vasquez (Mike); nephews, Michael Vasquez (Alyssa), Marc Vasquez; niece, Meagan Vasquez.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rogerio, Sr. and Martina Marroquin; maternal grandparents, Enrique, Sr. and Emma Galindo.
Visitation will begin Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft. Burial will follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery in Taft.
Pallbearers will be Michael Vasquez, Marc Vasquez, Juan Cantu, Santiago Cantu, Alex Colmenero and Trino Cortez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Meagan Vasquez and Eugene Luera.
Zeke will be greatly missed and will always live in our hearts.
