Frances O. Galindo, of Taft, Texas, was born on July 28, 1934, and passed away peacefully ather home on January 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was rooted in family, faith, and community. She was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her. Her home was always filled with warmth, care, and a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like family.

Frances was the beloved daughter of Maria (Olivares) Galindo and Luis Francisco Galindo, and was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Joe M Lopez and second husband Jose Hector Gomez; her grandson, Seamuis Matthew Mockler; her great-grandson, Cyle BradenLopez; and her siblings Desiderio Galindo, Federico Galindo, Adolfo Galindo, Sr., Maria Isabel Perez, Luis Galindo, Jr., and an infant at birth.

Frances is survived by her loving children: Albert (Martha) of Waller, Texas; Terri (Chuck) of San Diego, California; Isabel (James) of Houston, Texas; Desi of Austin, Texas; Maria (Eliseo) of Houston, Texas; Margaret (David) of Richmond, Texas; Deborah of Taft, Texas; Aracely of Katy, Texas; Leticia (Mario) of Houston, Texas; and Luis of Taft, Texas. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved sisters, Margarita Rios of Taft, Texas, and Maria Luisa Landeros of Sinton, Texas.

Frances lived a life of simplicity and found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially during holidays, Mother’s Day, and birthdays. She touched countless lives with her kindness, unconditional love, and unwavering support, bringing comfort to all those around her and leaving a profound and lasting impact on her family and friends. Frances proudly drove a school bus for over 35 years, caring for generations of children. She had a deep love for sewing, lovingly making her daughters’ prom and wedding dresses, as well as clothing for school. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and was especially known for her famous tamales, Christmas cookies, and homemade flour tortillas. She loved visiting secondhand stores whenever she could, collecting antiques, and admiring all kinds of birds—especially cardinals. Frances had two parrots, her loyal companion Ginger, her Afghan Pharaoh, and one of her greatest joys was receiving phone calls from her grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. Burial will be private.

The family invites attendees to honor Frances by wearing purple, pink, or baby blue, as she loved all pastel colors. "Happy tears. Happy thoughts. Happy memories.”
