Taft- Francisco “Frank” Encinia passed away on May31, 2021. He was 72.
Frank was born in Rotan, Texas on September 17, 1948 to Jose and Jovita (Martinez) Encinia. He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. Frank was a retired owner and operator of a tire repair shop. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding in death are his parents: Jose and Jovita Encinia; brother: Dario Encinia (Gloria); in-laws: Ynocente and Olivia Castaneda.
Survivors include his loving wife: Lucia Encinia of Taft, Texas; sons: Francisco Encinia, Jr. (Marie) of Taft, Texas, Ismael Encinia of Corpus Christi, Texas and Sammy Encinia of Taft, Texas; daughter: Judy Hernandez (Pete) of Corpus Christi, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Frank Encinia, III, Raquel Lee Acosta, Joel Encinia, Domingo Acosta (Gabby), Matthew Encinia, Renee Ashley Acosta and Erika Encinia (Jacob); 23 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jose Encinia, Jr., Santos Encinia and Cruz Encinia all of Taft, Texas; Macario Encinia (Linda) of San Antonio, Texas, Juan Encinia, David Encinia (Lana) and George Encinia all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Angie Riojas (Alfredo) of Taft, Texas, Elevoria Pinon (Salvador) of Bloomington, Texas and Maria Ozuna (Manuel) of Taft, Texas.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 10, 2021, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
