Sinton – Gabriel Adam Vega passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. He was 47.

Gabriel was born on November 24, 1978 in Taft, Texas to Diana (Sanchez) and Rolando Vega, Sr. He was a hardworking man who spent his career in the refinery industry. Gabriel had a deep love for fishing and cherished every moment spent with his family, especially his daughter. He was a devoted father, loving son, caring brother, supportive nephew and loyal friend. His warmth, humor, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding in death is his maternal grandparents: Jose Abdundio Sanchez and Aurora Chacon Sanchez; paternal grandparents: Luciano Vasquez Vega, Sr. and Rosita B Vega; and uncles: Juan B Vega, Luciano Vega, Jr., Gilberto Vega and Pascual Martinez, Jr.

Survivors include his daughters: Syncere Daedrianna Vega from Sinton, Texas and Gaby “Gabriella” Vega from Odem, Texas; parents: Rolando Vega, Sr. from Sinton, Texas and Diana Garza (Reuben) from Rockport, Texas; brother: Rolando, Vega, Jr.; uncles: Tommy Sanchez, Edward Sanchez (Maria), Rodrigo Sanchez (Gracie), Clemente Sanchez (Elena), Carlos Sanchez, Christian A. Vega, Isaiah Vega, Henry Vega (Laura) and Wally Vega; aunts: Mary Louise Martinez, Rosie Garza (David) and Juanita Aguirre Vega; and 13 cousins.

Visitation will begin Friday, September 12, 2025, 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening 7:00 PM followed by a Christian Catholic Rites Service at the funeral home.
