Gary Don Gibson Obituary

GARY DON GIBSON, born on September 10, 1950 in Sinton, Texas, was called home by our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2025 at the age of 75.  He was the beloved son of Norman Jasper (Billy) and Annie Lorene Gibson.

Gary’s journey on this earth is measured by the lives he touched as a friend, mentor, husband and father. He was known for his strong work ethic, generosity and quick wit. His phone line and office door was always open for those seeking advice, be it about business or life. His presence in the lives of his family and friends will forever be deeply missed.

Gary was a lifelong Sinton resident and Sinton High School alumnus (1969). He graduated from Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M Kingsville) in 1973 and joined Harris, Havins and Co. as a Certified Public Accountant in his hometown. He later opened his own accounting office to serve the community. He was also owner and bondsman of Liberty Bail Bonds.

Like a true Texan, Gary loved the game of football. In his life, he took to the field both as a player and as a football official for area schools. He maintained his passion for the game by rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, every week during the season.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Norman (Billy) and Lorene Gibson: father-in-law, Jose G. Sierra: brothers-in-law, David Sierra, Osbaldo Gonzalez; sister-in-law, Paula Ramirez.

His memory lives in our hearts by those whom he awaits in eternity. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa Sierra Gibson; his three daughters, Elizabeth (Michael) Nieto from Sinton; Margaret “Meg” (Marty) Keese from California; Cassandra (Alexander) Clouse from Colorado; and one son, Charles (Margaret) Gibson from Austin, Texas. Gary is also survived by his 7 cherished grandchildren: Madeline and Emma Nieto, Simon and Ian Keese, Oliver and Lillian Gibson and Elliot Gary Clouse. He has three surviving siblings, Norman Wesley (Linda) Gibson of  Rockport, Sharon (Dennis) Kastner from Sinton and Russell (Mitzie) Gibson from Sinton.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Ramona Sierra; sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Gibson, Michael Nieto, Marty Keese, Alexander Clouse, Adrian Alaniz and Clemente Sanchez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Kastner and Felix Sanchez
