Gary “Big G” DeLaCruz, 34, passed away on June 16, 2025, with his family by his side.

Born on February 28, 1991, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Gary was the beloved son of Delma Vela and Cruz DeLaCruz. He was raised in Taft, Texas, where he graduated from Taft High School. Gary was employed by the City of Sinton and was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gary is preceded in death by his son: Gary DeLaCruz, Jr.; maternal grandmother: Aurora Vela; and paternal grandmother: Fransica Guerra.

He is survived by his father: Cruz DeLaCruz (Arlene) of Odem, Texas; mother: Delma Vela; brothers: Cruz DeLaCruz Jr. of Taft, Texas, and Bobby DeLaCruz of Odem, Texas; his fiancé: Ruby Hernandez of Skidmore, Texas; and his loving companion: Honey. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A Chapel Service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place afterward at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas.
