Gay Palmero Obituary

Sinton – L. Gay Palmero passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019. She was 55.

Gay was born on August 17, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Betsy (Grant) and Lynton “Lyndy” Palmero. She was a resident of Sinton most of her life. Gay graduated Sinton High School in 1981. She was a retired school teacher employed by George West, Premont, Odem, Bandera and Woodsboro school districts. Gay began her career as a music teacher. She taught reading and science. Gay was a talented musician and soloist. She had a passion for geneology, reading and learning. Gay was an active member of the Sinton Presbyterian Church. She was the Lay Pastor, an Elder, the pianist and secretary. Gay was a joy to be around. To know her was to love her. Gay will be missed by her family, by all the students whose lives she impacted and by her church family.

Gay is preceeded in death by her nephew, Thomas Andrew Nutter.

Survivors include her parents: Lyndy and Betsy Palmero of Sinton, Texas; sisters: Trudy Nutter (Royce) of New Port Richey, FL., Natalee Barnard of Portland, Texas and Ruthie Kirk (Randall) of San Antonio, Texas; 2 nieces: Natalee Nicole “Nicci” Hinton (Brian) and Jennifer Lynette Kirk; nephew: Timothy Grant Kirk; and great-nephew: Elijah Andrew Hinton.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2019, 2:00 PM at the Sinton Presbyterian Church located at 221 W. Merriman Street in Sinton, Texas.   

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any pet rescue of choice.
