Genoveva “Jenny” Jimenez

Aransas Pass – Genoveva “Jenny” Jimenez passed away on April 28, 2025. She was 53.

Jenny was born on July 8, 1971 to Genoveva Moreno and Juan Barcelona Jimenez in Aransas Pass, Texas. Known to her friends as "Jenny" and to her family as "Mija"; Jenny was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Jenny is preceded in death by her grandmother: Magdalena Barcelona Jimenez; and grandfather: Jesus Flores Jimenez.

Survivors include her sons: David Lynn Bufkin Jr. of Portland, Texas and Blake Edward Bufkin from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Elisa Jasmine Flores and Gwendalyn Cora Fowler both from Aransas Pass, Texas; grandson: Asher John Bufkin; parents: Juan Barcelona Jimenez and Genoveva Moreno both from Aransas Pass, Texas; brothers: Juan Jimenez, Jr. and Arturo Moreno Jr. all from Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters: Rachel Ducote of Louisiana, Edna Moreno from Aransas Pass, Texas, Eva Moreno of Port Arthur, Texas and Sofia Jimenez from Aransas Pass, Texas.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
