Gilberto "Beto" N. Diaz

Taft – Gilberto “Beto” N. Diaz passed away peacefully March 11, 2020. He was 95.

Beto was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. He was born January 1, 1925 to Guadalupe and Julia (Natera) Diaz. He was a retired plumber. Beto was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death is his wife: Matilde Diaz; parents: Guadalupe and Julia Diaz.

Survivors include his sons: Guadalupe Diaz (Doris Garcia) of Alice, Texas, Gilbert Diaz, Jr. (Diana) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe Diaz (Lorena) of Angleton, Texas and Israel Diaz of Taft, Texas; daughters: Oralia Gonzales of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rosa Nieto of Taft, Texas, Florisa Gonzales (Adan) of Taft, Texas, Dora Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas, Irene Carey (Mark) of Pearland, Texas, Connie Diaz (Margie Salinas) of Angleton, Texas and Ester Dillingham (Jack) of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous grandchildren,  numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, Monday 16, 2020, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Prayer Service will be recited the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
