Guadalupe Garcia Guerrero Obituary

Guadalupe Garcia Guerrero entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2026, at the age of 85.

Guadalupe was born on February 20, 1941 in Taft, Texas to Pantalion and Concepsion (Cabrera) Garcia. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, treasured great-grandmother, sister and friend whose greatest joy in life was caring for those she loved.

To know Guadalupe was to know genuine kindness and unconditional love. Her home was always open to family, friends and even strangers who quickly became family. She never let anyone leave hungry, and no matter the time of day, she was always ready to prepare a warm meal with love. Her kitchen was more than a place to cook—it was where memories were made, stories were shared and everyone was welcomed with open arms.

Guadalupe had a beautiful gift for making each person feel seen, valued and loved. Her generous heart, gentle spirit and selfless nature touched countless lives. She gave freely of herself, always putting others before her own needs and found her greatest happiness in simply caring for those around her. The love she poured into her family will continue to live on through the many lives she touched and the memories they will forever cherish.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Castulo Guerrero; her parents, Pantaleon and Concepcion Garcia; her brother, Santos Garcia; sisters, Felicita Narvaez, Pancha Castillo and Leticia Garcia, and stepmother, Ortencia Garcia

Left to treasure her memory are her son, Albert Guerrero (Angela) from Portland, Texas; her daughter, Betty Ramirez (Mario) from Portland, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Michael A. Ramirez (Amanda), Mark Ramirez (Tiffany), Albert Guerrero, Jr. (Carolyn), all from Portland, Texas, Alex Guerrero (Kiana) from Buda, Texas; great-grandchildren, Bella Ramirez, Iris H. Ramirez, Faith Newchomer, Destiny Newchomer, Khaleesi Ramirez, Andi Ramirez, Austin Ramirez, Everleigh Guerrero, Isla Guerrero, and Luca Guerrero, all from Portland, Texas. Guadalupe is also survived by her loving sisters, Sylvia Hernandez, Mary Flores (Albert), Diana Palmerin, Alma Trejo (+David) and Veronica Gonzalez (Rudy) all from Corpus Christi, Texas, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Pallbearers are Michael Ramirez, Mark Ramirez, Albert Guerrero, Jr., Alex Guerrero, Armando Narvaez and Johnny Narvaez.
