Guadalupe "Lupe" Garcia entered into eternal rest on July 8, 2026 at his home surrounded by the unwavering love of his family. He was 68 years old.

Lupe was born August 4, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Ernesto and Modesta (Perez) Garcia. Lupe made Taft, Texas his lifelong home. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, a commitment that reflected the patriotism, honor and discipline he carried with him throughout his life.

A hardworking entrepreneur with an unmatched work ethic, Lupe built a respected name in the trucking industry as the owner and operator of GG Trucking. Those who knew him admired his determination, dependability and willingness to help others. He earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike through years of honest work and unwavering dedication.

Before becoming known for his success in business, Lupe was a gifted musician whose love of music brought joy to many. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he was most at home with a bass guitar in his hands. He performed with Los Cuatro Ideales, Conjunto Madrigal and Los Caminantes, creating lasting memories through the music he shared. In recent years, one of his greatest joys was passing that love of music on to his grandchildren, with the hope they, too would love music and remember their Grandpa.

More than any accomplishment, Lupe treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and a faithful great-grandfather. He believed that the greatest lessons were taught through example. He encouraged his children to work hard, think for themselves, solve problems with confidence and never give up when faced with life's challenges. His guidance, wisdom and quiet strength will continue to shape their lives for generations to come.

Lupe lived by simple but steadfast values: faith in God, love for his family and devotion to his country. His life was defined by integrity, humility, generosity and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Whether offering advice, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time with family, he made everyone around him feel valued and supported.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernesto and Modesta Garcia; and his beloved son-in-law, Josh Perez, sisters,Sylvia R. Longoria, Pam Rivera, granddaughter, Chloe Alviso Garcia, Grandparents, Guadalupe Perez, Petra Perez.

Left to honor and cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Sandra Garcia from Taft, Texas; his sons, Ernest Garcia (Victoria) from Copperas Cove, Texas; Christopher James Garcia (Jessica) from Taft, Texas; and Guadalupe Ernesto Garcia from Houston, Texas; his daughters, Kimberly Lynn Perez and Belinda Garcia, both from Taft, Texas; and Veronica Hubbel from Angleton, Texas; his 20 cherished grandchildren; his 9 treasured great-grandchildren; his brother, Benito Rivera Jr, Robert Garcia; his sisters, Elida Garcia, Elia Garcia, Elvira Rivera and Ida Rivera, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, Lupe's legacy lives on in the family he loved so fiercely, the values he instilled, the music he shared and the lives he touched. He will forever be remembered as a man of faith, honor, strength and unconditional love—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, Marine, businessman, musician and friend.

His memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
