Mathis – Gustavo B. Dominguez passed away September 4, 2021. He was 68.

Gustavo was born on August 16, 1953 in Sinton, Texas to Joe Castro and Ofelia (Barrera) Dominguez. He spent his early years in Edroy, Texas and most recently lived in Mathis, Texas. Gustavo was a carpenter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his father: Joe Dominguez; sisters: Ofelia Barra and Adriana Morin; brother Joe Dominguez, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife: Norma Dominguez from Mathis, Texas; sons: Gustavo Dominguez, Jr. (Elena) from Corpus Christi, Texas, Epigemio Dominguez (Crystal) from Beeville, Texas, David Dominguez (Brittany) from Mathis, Texas, Michael Dominguez (Judy) from Mathis, Texas; daughters: Nova Lynn Buentello (Victor Castro) from Austin, Texas and Ruby Linda Salinas (Israel) from Mathis, Texas; step-sons: Bobby Joe DeLeon (Jessica) from Mathis, Texas and Benny Joe DeLeon (Arlene) from Dallas, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild;  mother: Ofelia B. Dominguez from Edroy, Texas; brother: Adan Dominguez from Edroy, Texas; sisters: Nora Reyes from Corpus Christi, Texas and Mary Sanchez from Edroy, Texas.

Visitation will begin Sunday, September 12, 2021, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 13, 2021, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mathis. Burial will follow in Edroy Cemetery, Edroy.
