Ignacio Benavides, Jr.

Sinton – Ignacio Benavides, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019. He was 90.

Ignacio was born in La Parita, Texas on December 13, 1928 to Ignacio and Rosa (Lazos) Benavides. He was a resident of Corpus Christi for 58 years and prior resident of Alice, Texas. Ignacio was a retired truck driver who had worked for J.I. Hailey Trucking and later became self-employed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death is his spouse: Virginia Benavides.

Survivors include daughters: Rosalinda Castillo (Felix) and Tanya Sifuentes (Juan), all of Corpus Christi, Texas; Christina Hedtke (Duncan) of Sinton, Texas; sons: Ignacio Benavides, III (Donna Gregorio) of Virginia Beach, VA; Benito Benavides (Rachel), Jacinto Benavides and Arturo Benavides, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Edward Benavides (Carmen) of Mission, Texas; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
