Inocencia V. Bazan, 80, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025.
Inocencia was born on December 28, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She loved playing bingo and Mexican bingo, especially ”lotería”, and she was well known for the warm homemade tortillas she lovingly made for all those she cherished.
She is survived by her sons, Ismael Bazan (Aurora Sauceda) from Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mingo Bazan; her daughters, Moraima Berry (Marvin Brooks) from Portland, Texas and Mara Bazan (Joe Hills) from Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Michelle Berry, Melba Bazan and Casandra Bazan; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 8:30 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated the same day, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in Portland, Texas. Interment services will be private.
