Sinton – Ira Jackson Knox, III passed away peacefully February 22, 2025 at his home in Papalote. He was 60.

Ira (or Jackson, if you grew up with him) was born November 7,  1964 in Sinton, Texas to Marydell (Coates) and Jackie Knox. He lived in Sinton most of his life, attending Sinton schools and making many lifelong friendships and acquaintances. Ira was currently employed as a Project Manager for the Echo Group. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. Ira was comical, and enjoyed goofing around with his family. He will always be remembered as a giving and dedicated family man. Ira will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his wife: Erika Knox; a son: Corrigan Knox; daughters: Amanda Knox Wilson (Stephen) and Elizabeth Knox (Rueben Ramirez), all from Sinton, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Sydney Knox, Dylan Wilson, Gavin Knox, Rebecca Wilson, Khloe Knox, Cason Vannatter and Sofia Ramirez; 1 great-grandchild: Easton Yepez; parents: Jackie and Marydell Knox; a brother: Stephen Knox (Kathy), all from Sinton, Texas; in-laws: Carl and Sylvia Wood; brother-in-law: Christopher Wood (Jenorey); sister-in-law: Stacy Wagoner (Andrew), all from Bolivar, Missouri; aunts: Margaret Harris and Bertha Nell Barth; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Sinton with Mr. Sam Lankford officiating.
