Irma Estella Parra

Sinton – Irma Estella Parra passed away October 16, 2023. She was 66.

Irma was born August 12, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Victoria (Tagiles) and Pedro Garces. She was a resident of Sinton more than 38 years, and former resident of New Braunfels. Irma retired after 18 years of service to San Patricio County where she was employed at the courthouse. She loved spending time with family. Irma was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Pedro and Victoria Garces; siblings: Inora Hernandez, Benilde Jardon, Dora Hernandez, Margie Martinez, Amado Garces and Mary Mungia.

Survivors include her husband: Jesus M Parra; sons: Jessie Parra (Rose Serrano), Tony Parra (Genevieve); daughter: Victoria Parra, all from Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Mikayla Burk, Christopher Burk, Khloi Wright, Kara Wright, Anthony Parra, Adrian Parra, Kaylee Parra; great-grandchildren: Kingston McCarty, Princeton McCarty, Royalty Kornegay, Safarius Kornegay; sister: Esmeralda Garcia from Austin, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Visitation will begin Friday, October 20, 2023, 5:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 21, 2023, 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
