Isabel Montoya

Corpus Christi – Isabel Montoya passed away on February 16, 2021. She was 56.

Isabel was born on October 22, 1964 in Taft, Texas. She was a current resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and formerly resided in Edroy, Texas and Lansing, Michigan. Isabel worked as a Safety Manager for Texas Dewatering in Bellville, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her sister: Faye Montoya; brother: Lupe Montoya.

Survivors include her husband: Isidro Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; son: Eric Lopez (Albert Botello-Lopez) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Melinda Lopez-Galvan (Marcos) of Corpus Christi, Texas; mother: Virginia Montoya of Sinton, Texas; brothers: Juan Montoya of Florida and Joe Montoya of Tennessee.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Edroy. Burial will follow in Edroy Cemetery, Edroy.
