Isabel "Chavelo" DeLeon, Jr.

Isabel “Chavelo” DeLeon, Jr. passed away May 15, 2021. He was 64.

Chavelo was born in Mathis, Texas on December 2, 1956 to Isabel and Ramona (Corona) Deleon. He was a current resident of Odem and former resident of Gregory. Chavelo was a beloved son, brother and uncle who was loved for his kind and gracious heart.

Preceding in death are his parents: Isabel and Ramona DeLeon; brothers: Felix DeLeon, Ramiro DeLeon and Walter DeLeon; and sister: Gracie Sandoval.

Survivors include his brothers: Ignacio DeLeon (Rosalinda) from Gregory, Texas; Remigio DeLeon and Alejandro DeLeon, both from Mathis, Texas; Jose DeLeon from Odem, Texas; sisters: Estella Rodriguez (Roy) from Victoria, Texas; Mary Garza (Alfred) from San Antonio, Texas; Linda DeLeon (Rey Martinez) from Odem, Texas; Rosa Corona from Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephew and many extended family members.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel., Sinton, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Burial will be private.
