Isabelle Vogt

Taft – Isabelle Vogt went to be with her Lord on April 12, 2021. She was 86.

Isabelle was born on March 3, 1935 in Beeville, Texas to Florence (Galloway) and Flavel Pitts. She was a resident of Taft since 1959 but was raised in Sinton where she attended Sinton schools. Isabelle married the love of her life, Jim. They were married 66 years and lovingly raised their children, Carol and Bryan. Isabelle worked for Jim at his place of business, Jim’s Garage in Taft, for 24 years as a secretary/bookkeeper. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Taft. Isabelle taught and led by example Sunday School, Girls in Action and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at their river house in Swinney Switch and was an avid reader. Isabelle loved her family and children, but doted on her grandchildren. They held a special place in her heart.

Preceding in death are her parents: Flavel and Florence Pitts.

Survivors include her children: Carol Vanecek (Mark) from Portland, Texas; Bryan Vogt (Tricia) from Taft, Texas; grandchildren: Ashley Vanecek Houchin (Adam), Allison Vanecek, Halie Vogt and Brendon Vogt.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Taft. The Funeral Service will be held the same day, 1:00 PM at the church. A Graveside Service will be Saturday, April 17, 2021, 10:00 AM the Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Portland.
