Jackie Dewayne Hart

Ingleside – Jackie Dewayne Hart passed away February 5, 2023, at the age of 73. Jackie was born October 17, 1949, in Electra, Texas to John Tilford Hart and Jessie Lee (Jones). He was a resident of Ingleside, prior to growing up in Vernon, Texas and Arnett, Oklahoma. Jackie was a proud Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army serving in the 173 Airborne Brigade as a “Sky Soldier”, he received a Purple Heart, Parachute Badge, and Bronze Star Medal; along with several other medals while serving in the Vietnam War. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.  His positive attitude on life no matter the adversity was admired by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents: J.T. and Jessie Lee Hart.

Survivors include his daughter: Cassandra Kay Hart and husband Geoffrey Mayer from Portland, Texas; 2 grandsons: Christian and Landen Mayer from Portland, Texas; special friends: Dr. Norman and Taelor Crabb, and his beloved pup Jax.

A graveside service will be held at Coastal Bend Veterans State Cemetery, at a later date.
