Odem – Jaime Barrera Dominguez passed away August 11, 2024. He was 68.

Jaime was born in Mathis, Texas on March 10, 1956 to Ofilia (Barrera) and Carlos Dominguez. He was a lifelong resident of Odem. Jaime owned and operated Dominguez Trucking. He had a strong work ethic. Jaime always had work on his mind, rarely taking any time off for himself. He took pride in his clients and being the best husband, father grandfather and brother he could be to his family.  Jaime will always be remembered as a loving and giving man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Carlos and Ofilia Dominguez; brothers: Carlos Dominguez and Rene Dominguez; son-in-law: Santos Romero; brother-in-law; Jesse Lopez; step-son: Steve Pizana.

Survivors include his wife: Yolanda Dominguez from Odem, Texas; son: Jaime Dominguez, Jr. from Edroy, Texas; daughters: Jasmine Romero from Edroy, Texas and Carla Salinas (Mark) from San Antonio, Texas; numerous grandchildren; brothers: Albert Dominguez (Katie) from Corpus Christi, Texas; Danny Dominguez (Belia) and Benjamin Dominguez (Esmeralda), all from Odem, Texas; sister: Noelia Lopez from Robstown, Texas; sisters-in-law: Mari Dominguez from Odem, Texas and Mary Jane Dominguez from Pasadena, Texas; step-children: April Pizana from Sinton, Texas; Noe Gonzalez, Jesse Lopez and Gabrielle Lopez, all from Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 21, 2024, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 22, 10:00 AM, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Edroy. Burial will follow in Edroy Cemetery, Edroy.
