San Antonio – James Amaro Nino passed away November 17, 2022. He was 56.
James was born April 9, 1966 in Sinton, Texas to Santiago and Beatrice (Reyes) Nino. He was a resident of San Antonio, Texas for the last 12 years and formerly resided in Taft, Texas. James was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan, he would go out of his way to help anyone in need, his world revolved around his children, grandchildren and his 2 dogs, he loved spending time with family, especially having BBQ’s and cooking for them. He was employed by Camacho Auto Repair for 8 years. James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son: Dennis Hernandez; mother: Beatrice Nino maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Mauriano Reyes; paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Reyes Flores Nino; sister-in-law: Maria Rendon Nino.
Survivors include his wife: Mary Gonzales from San Antonio, Texas; sons: Michael Aldape and Frank Martinez both from San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Alexis Hernandez from San Antonio, Texas; Jina Rae Nino from Taft, Texas and Jamie Nino from Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Jayden Velasquez, Elliana Rojas and Emiliano Rojas father: Santiago Nino from Taft, Texas; brothers: Jerald Nino (Maria) from Taft, Texas and Jason Nino (Lana) from League City, Texas; sister: Gina Nino Garza (Hilario) from Portland, Texas; 2 dogs: Viper Nino and Layla Nino.
Visitation will begin Monday, November 21, 2022, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A Holy Rosary will be held the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Burial to follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
Pallbearers will be Hilario Garza, Jerald Nino, Jason Nino, Frank Martinez, Michael Aldape and Fidel Camacho.
