Rockport – James Joseph Grubb passed away on October 11, 2024. He was 83.

Jim was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 16, 1940 to Hedwig Gladys (Lempa) and Harry Lawton Grubb. He was a devoted family man, always putting his loved ones first and cherishing every moment spent with them. Jim was known for his hard work and dedication; he approached life with an admirable work ethic and always provided for those he cared about. Jim was a lover of the outdoors, he found joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing these passions with family. He had a love for life’s simple pleasures, never passing up the chance to enjoy a good time with friends and a cold beer in hand. Jim’s sense of humor and fun-loving spirit brought laughter and light to everyone around him, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Harry and Hedwig Grubb; brothers: Harry Grubb and Vincent Grubbs; and sister: Mary Louise Uecker.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years: Genevie Grubb; daughters: Teri Grubb (Brice Scharmann) from San Antonio, Texas; Jymie Perna (Todd) from Selma, Texas; and Loni Just (Brian) from Aransas Pass, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother: Robert Grubb (Joy) from Big Foot, Texas; sisters: Alberta Lundquist (+ Johnny) from Schertz, Texas; and Elaine Grubb from San Antonio, Texas.
