Janie W. Brewster

Aransas Pass- Janie Brewster passed away on July 3, 2021. She was 88.

Janie Brewster was born on March 19, 1933 in Durham, North Carolina to Sidney and Theodore Olive (Maybry) Watkins. Janie lived in Aransas Pass since 1966 but was a native of Durham, North Carolina. She was a successful business owner of two businesses. Janie was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents: Sidney and Olive Watkins; brothers: James Watkins, Robert Watkins; sister: Leslie Morrison.

Survivors include her husband: John Sidney Brewster; sons: Johnny “Butch” Morrison, Sidney Morrison; daughters: Elizabeth Morrison Davis, Norma Jean “Toot” Howell; brothers: Ted Watkins, Clayton Watkins, Doug Watkins; sister: Virginia Watkins Lawrence. With 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
