Taft – Janie Encinia passed away on February 4, 2025.  She was 45.

Janie was born in Taft, Texas on September 6, 1979 to Agapita (Rodriguez) and Santos Encinia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her mother: Agapita Rodriguez; sister: Hermelinda Encinia.

Survivors include her husband: Gregorio “Gordy” Rodriguez, Jr. from Taft, Texas; sons: Gregorio “Greg” Rodriguez, III. (Aliza) and Jesus Jose Rodriquez both from Taft, Texas; daughter:  Jacinda Rodriguez (Jose Cano) from Taft, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Andrew Leal, Alaiah Rodriguez, Alijah Leal and Baby Rodriguez on the way; sisters: Crystabel Maldonado (Jose) from Corpus Christi, Texas, Angelica Encinia (Ricardo Delacruz, Jr, Katrina Encinia (Johan Chavez), Imeih Esquivel all from Taft, Savannah Briones (Eric) from Japan; father-in-law: Gregorio Rodriguez from Taft, Texas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 10:00 AM, Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Lamas Memorial Park, Taft.
