Kingsville- Javier Benitez passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021. He was 49.
Javier was born on February 1, 1972 to Presciliano and Consuelo (Vasquez) Benitez, Sr. He was born in Kingsville, Texas where he was a lifelong resident. Javier loved life. “Javi”, as he was known to all, was dedicated to his family and friends. He was a talented musician who played Accordian. Javi was a member of the Tejano band “Grupo Diseno”. The band was showcased on Domingo Live and had a large fan base. Javi was loyal to his passions, the people he loved and to making the world a better place. His spirit will live on forever, and we look forward to the day we see him again.
Javier is preceded in death by his parents: Presciliano and Consuelo Benitez Sr; and nephew: Hector Gilberto “Tres” Garcia III.
Survivors include his brothers: Presciliano Benitez Jr. and Abelardo Benitez (Belinda), all from Kingsville, Texas; sisters: Ginny “Becky” Benitez (Hector) from Kingsville, Texas and Liza Benitez (Angel) from Calallen, Texas; nieces: Sabrina Benitez Moran (Autumn); Daniella, Jessica and Sofia; nephews: Johnnie, Nathaniel, Matthew and Elijah; and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 11:00 AM at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville, Texas. A prayer service will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 12, 2021, 11:00 AM at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville, Texas. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Kingsville, Texas.
