Jerry Raymond Brister Obituary
Skidmore - Jerry Raymond Brister, was known to us as Dad, to some as Bye, and to many as Friend. He was son to Raymond and Estelle Brister. Jerry was born April 24th,1951 in Smiley Texas.
At an early age he professed faith in Jesus Christ as His Savior and became a dedicated member of Oak Valley Baptist church. Growing up, Dad took us to Union Valley Baptist Church where we all flourished as a family. He spent his career as a Pipeline Welder for many years and retired as a General Manager for Industrial Site Services in Sinton Tx. Jerry loved to mentor and help young welders hone their skills and find their way! His legacy and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. Jerry was a mentor to many and spent much time helping and encouraging the underdog. His beautiful full life will forever be cherished and we will take what he taught us and carry on his legacy.
Jerry was united in marriage to his 5th grade friend and sweetheart Sandra Gail Sheffield of 53 years on August 7th, 1971 and they were blessed with two children, Michael Ray Brister and Amanda Gail Webb.
