Jessica Houser Brown, age 49, died August 3, 2024, at home after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. She was born September 24, 1974, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Lynn and Ronald Houser. She grew up in Sinton, Texas, graduating from Sinton High School in 1993.

After high school graduation, Jessica attended UTSA in San Antonio. Two years later she returned home and began working for Eagle Asphalt in Corpus Christi. She was then transferred to a Houston location. While living in Clear Lake, Jessica met David Brown at a dance class. They were married June 12, 2004, at Sinton First United Methodist Church, and made their home in Clear Lake and later in League City, Texas. On December 27, 2006, Jessica and David welcomed their daughter, Lauren. Jessica stayed home with Lauren and eventually worked part time at His Kids Preschool in League City. After Lauren started school, Jessica began working at Lockridge Packaging, where she was still employed at the time of her death.

Jessica loved spending time with family. According to Jessica, Lauren was her greatest accomplishment. She also loved going to dinner with her dear friends.

Jessica is survived by her husband, David and daughter Lauren, of League City. Other survivors include her parents, Lynn and Ronald Houser of Sinton, brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Holly Houser of Sinton, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cindi and Mike Stein of Lafayette, Louisiana, nephews Jake Stein of Lafayette and Will Houser of Denton, Texas, and niece, Laynie Houser, of Sinton. Jessica is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Ernie.

A Celebration of Life Service was celebrated for Jessica in League City on September 15, 2024, at Butler’s Courtyard. A Memorial Service is scheduled for September 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM, Sinton First United Methodist Church in Sinton.
