Jessie G. Rodriguez, Jr.

Sinton - Jessie G. Rodriguez, Jr. passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026 at the age of 68. He was surrounded by his loving family who never left his side and ensured he continuously felt their love and presence.

Jessie was born on November 6, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Amelia (Gonzales) Rodriguez and Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez, Sr. He attended Sinton schools, where he distinguished himself as an athlete. It was during his junior high years that he met the love of his life, Susan (née Salas). Together, they built a life grounded in love, devotion and unwavering commitment, raising three children and creating a family rooted in strength and unity. Jessie and Susan shared a remarkable love story, celebrating 48 years of marriage just one day before his passing.

After a dedicated career, Jessie retired eight years ago from Flint Hills Resources, where he served as a Process Operations Manager in the RX Unit. Above all, he took great pride in being a devoted husband, a loving father and a steadfast provider for his family.

Jessie will be remembered as a man of strong character, warm spirit and genuine kindness. His presence could light up any room, and his impact on others was lasting. While his children were his pride, it was his role as “Papa” that brought him immeasurable joy. He cherished his grandchildren deeply, always showing up—whether at their sporting events, sharing words of wisdom or telling one of his favorite fishing stories.

He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and valued the sense of brotherhood it brought him. Jessie also found happiness in fishing, backyard gatherings and, most importantly, spending time with his family—who were the center of his world.

Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus "Chuy" and Amelia Rodriguez; and sister Isabel Maldonado.

Left to carry on his legacy are his devoted wife, Susan S. Rodriguez; children, Rodney Rodriguez (Tracy), Ravae Rodriguez (Juan Perez), Rafael "RD" Rodriguez (Julie) and fur baby, Cash. Surviving grandchildren are Taliyah Bess, Chase Bess, Chance Rodriguez, Jett Rodriguez, Jasmine Perez, Bo Rodriguez, Crew Rodriguez and Bryson Rodriguez. Jessie is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton with family receiving guests starting at 4:00 PM. The Holy Rosary will be recited that evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 29, 2026,  11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
