Corpus Christi - Jesus Perez, affectionately known by his family and friends as Jesse, passed away on May 27, 2026 at the age of 62.

Jesse was born on December 22, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Fidencia (Cantu) and Adan Martinez. He spent most of his life in Corpus Christi and lived for a short time in Sinton. Jesse worked as a scaffold builder and made many lifelong friends with whom he remained close throughout the years.

Jesse was a dedicated provider who always took care of his family. He was a sports fanatic and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed shopping on Amazon and keeping up with the latest gadgets and trends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adan and Fidencia Martinez; and his brothers, Ramiro Perez and Roland Lee Martinez.

Left to cherish Jesse’s memory are his spouse, Matilda Rodriguez; his sister, Terry Annette Martinez; his stepchildren, Amanda Listrom (Michael) and Amber Maldonado, all from Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Angelina Maldonado, Caleb Raines, Jeremy Raines and Kendall Raines; his nephews, Joshua Perez and Jonathan Perez (Mariah); his great-nephews, Aiden Perez and Jade Perez; his great-nieces, Janessa Perez and Adeline Perez; his sisters-in-law, Melissa Ruiz from Corpus Christi, Paula Moreno (Rosendo) from San Antonio, Delfina Gonzales (Jacob) and Patricia Molina, both from Sinton; his brothers-in-law, Adan Molina (Cindy) from Sinton and Delfino Molina (Tanya) from Aransas Pass; along with many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The family will receive guests from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date.
