Jesus “Jesse” Perez Ybanez, age 62, passed away on February 23, 2026.

Jesse was born on June 29, 1963 in Beeville, Texas to Simona (Perez) and Martin Ybanez. He was a loving husband, father, brother and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Simona Ybanez; and his in-laws, Roberto V. and Paula Puebla; parental grandparents: Jose Maria Ybanez and Jesus Ybanez; maternal grandparents, Manuel Perez and Esperanza Perez; niece, Christina Maroquin and nephew, Julian Garza. 

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Elizabeth Puebla Ybanez from Odem, Texas; his son, Joe Lewis Ybanez (Nicole) from Odem, Texas; and his treasured grandchildren, Alexander X. Ybanez, Jessica R. Ybanez and Joe Lewis Ybanez, Jr. He is also survived by his sisters, Jo Anne Cruz (Martin), Diana Ybanez (Joe) and Christine Ybanez, all from Odem, Texas; his sisters-in-law, Salome Portales (Norberto), Elva Flores (Carlos) and Maria Moya, all from Corpus Christi, Texas; Otilia Moya (Avelardo) from New Orleans, Deanna Puebla and Zulema Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as his brother-in-law, Jesse Puebla (Lisa) from Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM that evening. Burial will be private.
