Joan was born August 8, 1934 in Crooked Creek, Arkansas to Herb Moffis and Mollie (Mason). She was the 2nd of six siblings. Joan married Oswald Roy Parsley (Ozzie) in May 1958. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Joan was a very kind, sweet and loving lady.  She was a very forgiving Christian lady; her smile was infectious and her green eyes were the most beautiful you had ever seen.

Preceding in death are her husband: Oswald Roy Parsley; parents: Herb and Mollie Moffis; brothers: Obit and Larry; sisters: Peggy Sue and Norma Jean; grandson: Justin Ray Curry.

Survivors include her daughter: Betty Kay Parsley Curry; grandson: Joel Neal Curry (Valerie); 6 great grandchildren: Shelby, Hayley, Sarah, Billy, Claire and Jazzlynn; 4 great-great grandchildren: Melina, Kimberly, Isaac and AJ; sister: Kay McMahon; Justin’s companion: Cynthia; Joan’s companion: Fred Ford; several nieces and nephews.

Burial was held, December 7, 2024 in Sinton Cemetery.
