Joe "Hoover" A. Rodriguez

Sinton – Joe “Hoover” A. Rodriguez passed away June 20, 2021. He was 74.

Joe was born on August 29, 1946 to Ramon and Maria (Soliz) Rodriguez. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas for almost 50 years and formerly resided in Markham, Texas. Joe was a retired Corporal from San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office after 27 years of service and a Veteran of the United States Army.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his spouse: Marcy Rodriguez; parents: Ramon and Maria Rodriguez; siblings: Reynaldo Rodriguez, Lee Rodriguez, Lucy Rodriguez, Charlie Rodriguez and Eloisa Garcia.

Survivors include his sons: Jay A. Rodriguez (Patricia A.) of Sinton, Texas and Joey A. Rodriguez (Michelle) of Portland, Texas; daughter: Jennifer Galvan (Eddie) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Reianna, Destiny, Toni, Augie, Celeste, Rylan, Rene, Autumn and Roland; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Manuel Rodriguez of Kansas and Ramon Rodriguez of Pharr, Texas; sister: Vicky Crain of Bay City, Texas.

Visitation will begin Friday, June 25, 2021, 4:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 26, 2021, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Jay Rodriguez, Joey Rodriguez, Eddie Galvan, Rylan Galvan, Rene Galvan and Tony Peralez.
