Aransas Pass – John Lester Gaines passed away November 12, 2023. He was 55. John was born May 31, 1968 in Victoria, Texas to Carol Tyson and Lester Odis Gaines, Jr. John was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death is his father: Lester Odis Gaines, Jr.; grandfather: Lester Odis Gaines, Sr.

Survivors include his mother: Carol Tyson from Aransas Pass, Texas; stepfather: Jerry Tyson, Sr. from Aransas Pass, Texas sons: John Tyler Gaines from Rockport, Texas and Sidney Brewster from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Heather Nicole Gaines from San Antonio, Texas, and Ashley Mae Gaines from Louisiana; brother: Eugene Gaines from Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters: Virginia Gaines from Dickenson, Texas and Beverly Tyson Traweek from Aransas Pass, Texas; 4 grandchildren.
