John Loveall Obituary

John William Loveall lived a full and meaningful life and went to be with our Lord on December 24th, 2023.

Born in 1951 in Duncan, Oklahoma, John served his country honorably as a Navy veteran aboard the USS John F. Kennedy.

In 1969, he married the love of his life, Darlene Loveall, in Alabama.

For 54 years, John and Darlene built a life together, raising their three children:

John Jeremy Loveall, Rachel Lee Loveall, and Andrew William Loveall, later, along with Jordan Alexander and Ryan Loveall.

John's career took the family to Oklahoma and Texas, where he worked diligently in the oilfield. In 1988, John and Darlene settled down in Rockport, Texas, creating a warm and welcoming home that was open to everyone.

Known for his incredible barbecue skills and award-winning home-brew, John found joy in bringing people together over good food and drink.

But more than anything, John cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He loved thrifting for hidden treasures, strumming his guitar, and creating special memories with his family. He will be deeply missed, but always remembered for his kind heart, humor, adventurous spirit, and for being the best grandfather.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Though his parents Clyde and Joyce Loveall, preceded him in death, John leaves behind a legacy of family.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene Loveall; children: John Jeremy Loveall, Rachel Loveall (Jesse), Andrew Loveall (Theresa), Ryan Loveall, and Jordan Loveall.

John was blessed with seven amazing grandchildren who brought him immense joy:

Taylor Ramey, Abigail Ramey, Elliette Sanchez, Denise Loveall, Nicole Loveall, Kate Loveall, and Elijah Loveall. Siblings: Clarence (Patsy) Loveall, Kathy (Roger)Trammel, and Philip Loveall along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was a caring man who cherished his family above all. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave will continue to surround his family for generations to come. Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, 1:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
