Taft – Jose R. Ortiz passed away June 20, 2024.  He was 82. Jose was born in Taft, Texas to Luciana Ramirez on March 19, 1942. Jose worked as a cook for Whataburger at North Beach and Portland also for Shoreline Inc.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death by his parents: Eliguio Ortiz and Lucian Ramirez; sisters: Candida Herrera, Elida Flores, Senaida Moreno; brother: Humberto Casiano.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private per Joses’ request.
