Sinton – Jose David Garcia Serna passed away October 27, 2023. He was 39.
David was born January 5, 1984 in Dolores Hidalgo Guanajuato Mexico to Maria Carmen (Serna) and Cleto Jantes Garcia. He was employed as a Pipefitter for BHC. David lived in Sinton for 15 years, prior to living in Mexico. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
David is preceded in death by his stepson: Jaime Perez.

Garcia from St. Paul, Texas: stepson: Jose Julian Perez (Velia Cruz) from Rockport, Texas; stepdaughter: Gabriella Marie Benton (Jordan) from Sinton, Texas; 6 grandchildren: Jaelynn Hope Perez, Velissa Amada Perez, Jose Roberto Perez, Cheston Jordan Benton, Trinity Jade Benton and Jaycie Marie Benton; parents: Cleto Jantes and Maria Carmen Garcia; brothers: Cleto Garcia from Mexico; Antonio Garcia and Salvador Garcia from Corsicana, Texas; Jesus Garcia from Edroy, Texas and Javier Garcia from Rockport, Texas; sisters: Margarita Garcia from Mexico; Alicia Olvera from Bastrop, Texas; Rosario Serna-Garcia from Rockport, Texas; Isabel Mendez from Rockport, Texas and Mayra Daniella Suarez; in-laws: David and Mary Lou Herrera from St. Paul, Texas; father-in-law: Valentin Herrera from Kingsville, Texas; sister-in-law: Carmel and Paulo Ortiz from Corpus Christi, Texas; brother-in-law: Roberto and Elvia Herrera from St. Paul, Texas.
Visitation was held, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas. Burial in John J. Memorial Cemetery, St. Paul.
