Odem – Jose “Nunko” Espinoza passed away on February 11, 2025. He was 59.
Nunko was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 27, 1965 to Maria (Rodriguez) and Jose Espinoza, Sr. He was a former landscaper. Nunko grew up in Odem and Taft, and currently resided in Corpus Christi. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding in death is his parents: Jose and Maria Espinoza.
Survivors include his brother: John Espinoza (Marivel) from Odem, Texas; sisters: Margaret Reed (Frank Garcia) and Ana Espinoza, all from Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews: Cheyenne Boyne, Jonathan Espinoza, Johnetta Espinoza, Olivia Espinoza, Jonavin Espinoza, Jonsiah Espinoza all from Odem, Brandon Reed and Zachariah Garza from Austin, Texas and John H. Espinoza, II. from Germany.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Mass will be held the same morning, 11:00 AM, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
