Aransas Pass – Joyce Perez passed away on June 22, 2024. She was 76.

Joyce was born on April 30, 1948 to Ralstine (Price) in Aransas Pass, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. Joyce worked at the Aransas Pass Nursing Home as a provider for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents: James and Ralstine Miller.

Survivors include her sons: Sam Harkless, III (Noemi) from Corpus Christi, Texas and John “Clay” Harkless (Lori McCoy) from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughter: Ashlee Wittenborn (James Cook) from Aransas Pass, Texas; grandchildren: Kealey Harkless (Diontre Oliver) from Mexia, Texas, Kiera Harkless and Sophia Harkless both from Corpus Christi, Texas; great-grandchildren: Salem Rain Oliver and Ozias Koah Oliver from Mexia, Texas; sister: Sandra Brennon from Aransas Pass, Texas; Niece: Sunny LaGrange (Robert Truitt) from Aransas Pass, Texas; host of family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sam Harkless III, Clay Harkless, James Cook, Michael LaGrange, Randy Munoz and Ashlee Wittenborn.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Bridgebright Home Health and Altus Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Joyce. The family would also like to thank everyone for their acts of kindness, phone calls and the support shown to the family in this time.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 1, 2024, 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. The Funeral Service will be the same afternoon, 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
