Sinton – Joyce Lynn Stine passed away on August 8, 2026. Born on December 18, 1955. Joyce lived a life filled with love, treasured friendships, and a deep devotion to the people she held closest to her heart.

Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother whose family meant so much to her. She found great joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life, especially those spent with the people she loved. Her son and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and the love she had for them was immeasurable.

Joyce had a special love for the ocean and truly enjoyed life along the Texas coast. There was something about being near the water that brought her happiness and peace, and the coastal life became a cherished part of who she was.

She was also a talented quilter and enjoyed the time and care that went into creating something beautiful with her own hands. Her quilts were more than a pastime; they reflected the patience, warmth, and love Joyce carried throughout her life.

Friendship was another beautiful and important part of Joyce’s life. She especially treasured the bond she shared with her best friends, Barbara Knight and Lana Reynolds. Their friendship brought Joyce countless memories, laughter, companionship, and love throughout the years.

Joyce will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the special place she held in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Though her absence will be deeply felt, her memory will live on through her family, her dear friends, and all the moments they were blessed to share with her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved spouse, James Stine; her parents, Ernest and Betty Scholl; and brother, Steven School.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving son, Robert Stine (Misty) of Madisonville, Texas; grandchildren, James Ryan Stine and Elizabeth Grace Stine; her dear friends, Barbara Knight and Lana Reynolds; brother, Ernest School; along with those whose lives were touched by Joyce throughout the years.
