Mathis, Texas – Juan Antonio Rangel, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 at the age of 68.

Born on February 9, 1957, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Juan was the cherished son of Bernardina (Lugo) and Hiladio Rangel. He made Mathis, Texas his home for the past five years, where he continued to embody the values of hard work, dedication, and love for family that defined his life.

Juan was known for his unwavering work ethic and his role as a devoted provider. He took pride in caring for those he loved and was deeply respected by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hiladio and Bernarda Rangel.

Juan leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his family: his wife, Yvette Villatoro-Rangel of Mathis; daughters, AlbreeMakkynzee S. Rangel and Juana Y. Rangel of Florida; son, Rigoberto E. Garcia and daughter-in-law Cassandra Caldwell of Mathis; grandchildren, Hannah, Aileen, Tony, Andres, Alonzo, Angelic, Emileigh, and AJ; and his sister, Maria Rangel Lugo.
