Juanita Soto Martinez

Sinton – Juanita Soto Martinez gained her wings Thursday, November 24, 2022 with her family at her side. She was 85. Our comfort is that she is with our Lord and she is no longer in pain. Juanita is reunited with her loving husband, daughter and family.

“The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind.”

Juanita was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Thank you, mom, for all your love for us and for all the great memories. You will be dearly missed.

Juanita was born on October 14, 1937 in O’Donnell, Texas to Celia and Juan Soto. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. On April 29, 1958 she married her beloved husband Jesus Martinez, April 2022 they would have been married 64 years.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter: Hilda Rodriguez Ramirez; her beloved husband: Jesus Martinez; parents: Celia and Juan Soto; sisters: Elida Moreno and Belia Solis; brother: Joe Soto.

Juanita is survived by her daughter: Delia Rivas (Eliseo) from Sinton, Texas; son: Jesse Martinez (Becky) from Gregory, Texas, Carlos Martinez (Rachel) from Corpus Christi, Texas, Javier Martinez (Maria) from Sinton, Texas; brother: Santos Soto (Laly) from Gregory, Texas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 2, 2022, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
