Odem– Julia D. Garza passed away on May 26, 2023. She was 79.

Julia was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 24, 1944 to Estella (Martinez) and Louis Deleon, Sr. She was a resident of Odem, Texas since 1972. Julia was a caregiver and worked for a home health agency.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Enrique “Henry” Garza, Sr.; son: Enrique “Henry” Garza, Jr.; and grandson: Marcos Rey Garza.

Julia is survived by her son: Reynaldo Garza (Rosemary) from Odem, Texas; daughters: Lamar Rodriguez (Elias), Anita Franco, and Ruby Garza-Lyerly (Alexander) all from Sinton, Texas, Nora Garcia (Milton) form Odem, Texas, Leticia Garza (Rudy Gil) from Annaville, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brothers: Louis Deleon, Jr (Mary Esther) from Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Tommie Valdez (Joe), Mary Perez, Josie Nieto, Gloria Saenz, and Crystal Narvaez all from Corpus Christi, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 30, 2023, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. Funeral Service will be the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
