Julia A. Lopez

Sinton – Julia A. Lopez passed away December 23, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 84.

Julia was born on January 28, 1935 in La Rosita, Texas to Manuel and Dolores (Casas) Alaniz. She was a homemaker. Julia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her husband who passed in 1996: Tony I. Lopez; parents: Manuel and Dolores Alaniz; sisters: Emma Olivera, Blasa Ramon and Vicky Cortez; and brothers: Ralph and Joe Alaniz.

Survivors include 5 sons: Jose A. Torres (Celia G.) of Sinton, Texas; Tony Lopez (Carolyn) of South Carolina; Steve Lopez and Armando Lopez, both of San Antonio, Texas; Fernando Lopez (Martha) of Portland, Texas; 3 daughters: Hope Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas; Blanca Monsibias (Jesse) of Sinton, Texas and Lisa Lopez of Beeville, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Elias Alaniz (Elvira) and Joe Manuel Alaniz (Elva), all of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation will begin Saturday, December 28, 2019, 11:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The funeral service will follow the same day, 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
