Aransas Pass – Julia Ortiz passed away on July 20, 2024. She was 70.

Julia was born on November 11, 1953 to Rebecca (Martinez) and Ysidro Villarreal in Aransas Pass, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Julia is preceded in death by her grandchild: Martin Gonzales III; parents: Ysidro and Rebecca Villarreal; brothers: Raul Villarreal and Abelardo Villarreal.  

Survivors include her son: Christopher Ortiz (Michelle) from Ingleside, Texas; daughter: Lori Ortiz (Martin Gonzales) from Aransas Pass, Texas; grandchildren: Mia Ortiz, Chris Ortiz and Matthew Ortiz all from Ingleside, Texas and Noah Gonzales from Aransas Pass, Texas; brothers: Ramon Villarreal from Refugio, Texas, Ysidro Villarreal (Gloria) and Reynaldo Villarreal (Ninfa) both from Aransas Pass, Texas; sister: Olivia Zepeda (Richard) from Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters-in-law: Becky Villarreal from Aransas Pass, Texas and Norma Villarreal from Corpus Christi, Texas.
