Julia Hernandez Sierra

Sinton – Julia Hernandez Sierra passed away January 23, 2018. She was 75.

Julia was born on December 17, 1942 to Francisco and Matiana (Martinez) Hernandez. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Sinton.

Julia is preceded in death by her husband: Benito Sierra, Sr.; parents: Francisco and Matiana Hernandez; and brother: Leonardo Hernandez.

Survivors include her sons: Benito Sierra, Jr. of Beeville, Texas; Jessy Sierra; Rudy Sierra; and Ivan Sierra, all of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Ida Sierra of Sinton, Texas and Anna Sierra of St. Paul, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers: Francisco Hernandez, Jr. and Reynaldo Hernandez, both of Sinton, Texas; sisters: Gloria Escobedo of Sinton, Texas and Elena Hernandez (Martin) of Idaho; Alicia Mendoza (Juan) of Taft, Texas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held Friday, January 25, 2018, 9:30 AM with a chapel service, 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
