Portland – Julius B. Garza passed away April 21, 2026. He was 81.

Julius was born February 16, 1945 in New Brafunfels to Clemencia (Beltran) Garza and Domingo Garza. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. A man of Catholic faith, Julius carried his beliefs with him throughout his life.

Julius is preceded in death by his wife: Carmela Garza, his sons: Isidro Govella Jr and Mark Anthony Donahue, mother: Clemencia Beltran Garza and brother: Jesse Garza.

Survivors include his daughter: Veronica Garza from San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Alexandra Lynn Vacca, Victoria Iris Trevino both from San Antonio, Texas and Bailey Govella from Corpus Christi, Texas; great-grandchildren: Mark Alaniz, Jr., Alyandra Lynn Alaniz and Avery Lee Lugo all from San Antonio, Texas; and daughter-in-law: Rachel Govella from Corpus Christi, Texas.

Eternal rests grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Thank you for the unique and special roles they played in my life. Please grant them eternal rest and let your perpetual light shine upon them.
