Odem - Kenneth Randolph Duncan, lovingly known as “Randy,” passed away surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Born on July 29, 1946, in San Diego, California, Randy spent his early childhood in the coal camps of West Virginia before moving with his family to Aransas Pass, Texas in 1957. From an early age, Randy developed the strong work ethic and determination that would define his life. As a young man, he worked refinery turnarounds and later became a highly skilled welder, building a successful career in welding and pipeline construction both domestically and internationally. His dedication to his craft, willingness to work hard, and ability to provide for those he loved earned him the respect of coworkers and friends alike. Above all else, Randy cherished his family.

In 1964, Randy married the love of his life, Gayle B. Whitehead, beginning a 62 year partnership.

Randy is preceded in death by his beloved son, Kenn Ealit Duncan; his parents, George and Audrey Duncan; and his sister, Peggy Duncan Black.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle; his sister, Marian Sue Harrington (John); his brothers, Robert Paul Duncan (Denise) and Charles Steven Duncan; and his two children, Kristi Lee Stansell (Mark) and Charles “Luke” Duncan (Leann). Randy also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Lyndsi Kristine Wells, Elizabeth Gayle Hunter (Josh), Cameron Clay Pace, Victoria Grace Thach (Sam), Randi LeeAnn Pace, Ian Elijah Duncan, Riley Ealit Duncan, Samuel Elliot Duncan, and Levi Evan Duncan. He was further blessed with two great-grandchildren, Brinson Mcray and Eloise Lucille Wells.
Randy accepted Christ as his Savior in 1971 at Annaville Baptist Church. 

His favorite hymn was He Hideth My Soul. His eyes would fill with tears as he listened to the words of the song and was reminded how Jesus saved his soul and continually hid his life in the cleft of the Rock. He was forever grateful for God’s love for him.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 10:30 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held the same morning, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Odem.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Pace, Ian Duncan, Riley Duncan, Samuel Duncan, Talon Harris, Bryan Butler and Oliver Butler.
