Odem – Laura Ann Andrade passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 1, 2025. She was 53.

Laura was born August 11, 1971 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Yolanda (Martinez) and Johnny Zuniga. She retired as a Captain after 18 years in the United States Air Force. Laura served at multiple bases, Kelly Air Force and Randolph Air Force Base in Texas, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Bitburg Air Base in Germany and Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska. She also did a tour in Afghanistan and was part of the Honor Guard Drill Team in her early career.  Laura was very independent, creative and passionate about her many hobbies including traveling and arts and crafts.  There was never a task she couldn’t complete and she was always the first to step in when needed.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death by her father: Johnny Zuniga.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years: Jeff Andrade from Odem, Texas; sons: Ryan Andrade (Chelsea) from San Antonio, Texas, Dylan Andrade and Justin Andrade  both from Odem, Texas; daughter: Lauren Andrade from Odem, Texas; grandchild: Ellie Andrade; mother: Yolanda Zuniga from Calallen, Texas;  brothers: John Zuniga (Alicia) and Mark Zuniga (Evelyn) both from Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Sandra Gileno (Jason) from California, Carol Garza from Corpus Christi, Texas and Barbara Johnson (Chris) from Virginia; in-laws: Felix and Dora Andrade from Odem, Texas; sister-in-law: Corinna Beauford (Eric) from Katy, Texas.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, 2025, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Memorial Mass will be held the same morning, 11:00 AM at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, Corpus Christi, Texas. Burial will follow, 1:00 PM, Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
